FAQ: Gunfighter's Ball Wild West Miniatures Game
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

When can I expect delivery?

Each backer’s rewards will be sent in one shipment when everything is completed, which is expected late spring or possibly June. We’re already casting miniatures and creating MDF building kits in our own facility (we do this full time), however we will be waiting for books and game mats to be printed by outside vendors.

Can more Drifter miniatures be purchased separately?

Unfortunately, no. Only one per customer who backed at a pledge level that included the miniature.

If I buy merchandise equal to the amount of a pledge level, can I qualify for free stretch goals?

In future kickstarters I will consider doing this, but this time around no. Too many people based their decisions on that limitation and it wouldn’t be fair to them to change the rules at this point. The good news is that only the Drifter was an exclusive product–you will be able to purchase the stretch goal items a’ la carte in our Backerkit web store.

How is shipping cost determined?

Your pledge level rewards carry a flat shipping fee (i.e. the Judge’s Level rewards carry a lower flat fee than the Marshal’s Level) and extra shipping is charged based on the weight of your add-ons.

Everyone is charged the same rate regardless of country; we’ve worked hard to develop a shipping plan that keeps overseas charges to a minimum so that European and Australian customers pay the same as US customers.

I have a question that's not in the FAQ. Do you know the answer?

Yes! (most likely).

We will add items to the FAQ as Backerkit staff give us feedback on the help questions they’re fielding on a regular basis. Also, we’ll do our best to post frequent updates and respond to comments through our Kickstarter campaign pages.

Can substitutions be made for items in the pledge levels?

No. The pledge level rewards can’t be changed or the budget for the Kickstarter will come completely unraveled. The counts taken from the rewards in the levels pledged are used to determine what quantities we can order of various items, and with those quantities come the discounts that we need to make the game a reality.

Now that we’ve had some experience running a kickstarter, we’re beginning to understand how choices can be built into pledge levels, and that will be reflected in future campaigns.

How is international shipping handled?

By postmen… But seriously, orders to Europe will be sent via a freight forwarding service to a game company overseas who will ship them to customers. The shipping fee you pay to Backerkit’s cart will cover everything. Shipments to the Southern Hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand) will be sent in the same manner.

One of the add-ons contains Gunfighter's Ball figures I already own; can I make a substitution?

Substitutions of this kind are discouraged during the kickstarter backerkit phase. As you can imagine, packing this many orders at once is a monumental task and the chances of a packing error are greatly increased when we vary from pre-packed collections of kits (e.g. the Gunfighter’s Horde). The collections are put together at a discount precisely because they can be provided without individually pulling figures or faction packs from inventory one-by-one.

How is Backerkit's cart related to my account on Knuckleduster.com and their web store?

There is no crossover at all between the two; they are two separate entities. Orders placed through Backerkit cannot be packed with orders placed at Knuckleduster.com. Backerkit does their own billing, refunds, and has their own help desk.

Do stretch goals have to be ordered from the list of add-ons?

Not if you pledged at the Deputy level or above. All unlocked stretch goals will automatically be shipped with your merchandise and you don’t need to order them from the add-ons. If you are a pre-order backer or pledged at the Rules Lawyer or Bystander levels and want the stretch goals, order them from the add-ons just as you would any other item. If you pledged at Deputy level or above and want additional copies of a particular stretch goal (another mat, or extra dice, for instance), then you can order them a’ la carte from the add-ons in the backerkit cart.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
