BOARDING HOUSE QC CHECK AND INSTRUCTION MANUALS
about 5 years ago – Tue, Jan 29, 2019 at 01:46:19 PM

Hi Guys,

QC

If you have the boarding house, do a quick count of your windows and doors.

You should have 23 windows w/frames, 7 solid doors w/frames, and 2 doors with windows. There is a doorway between a front parlor and back room that is meant to be an open passageway between a front parlor and dining room, but if you would want an 8th solid door, I'd be happy to throw one in with a future order. I'm beginning to include them with new kits.

You might find your kit short by 4 windows and 1 solid door. If so, I'll ship them out to you at no charge. We didn't know how many of the miscounted kits went out, but we've had 2 people find missing pieces, so we though it was worth putting the word out.

INSTRUCTION MANUALS

I have posted instruction manuals for the boarding house, adobe jail, barbershop, and livery stable. Some of the information is new, so if you have an old pdf, go ahead and download the new one.

We've added an interior wall kit to the barbershop  since the kickstarter. In one of the next couple of releases, it will be offered as an inexpensive upgrade kit.

CUSTOM SCULPTS

They are all mastered, and casting of duplicates is underway!

Thanks again for making Gunfighter's Ball come to life, and be sure to join the Gunfighter's Ball facebook group.

Adios!

Fulfillment News Roundup
over 5 years ago – Tue, Dec 04, 2018 at 12:39:39 PM

Here is all the latest on fulfillment:

AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

I'm using an Australian-based game company who does consolidated shipping for US game companies in order to get your stuff over the water with a reasonable cost. We've got a few odds-and-ends to drop in your boxes and at the same time are making arrangements with them. I hope to have them en-route in the next week. I will hold back releasing any of the new stuff to Australia and New Zealand until your fulfillment has taken place.

I expect to have your boxes shipped to Aetherworks in the next week (still ironing out the details and waiting on a few parts from a vendor).

DOMESTIC US AND EUROPEAN BACKERS

By this time, only Australian and New Zealand backers should be without the stretch goal items and the Deputy Level merchandise (Alamo Saloon w/ bar, icons faction, accessory kit, stretch goals, incl. new figures plus cards and mat, and Drifter figure). I know of at least one domestic which doesn't have the icons faction, and that will go out pronto. IF YOU'RE MISSING ANY OF THE ABOVE AND YOU'RE FROM THE US OR EUROPE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW as you might accidentally be off the radar.

If you're in Europe, you will hopefully have received a tracking number if not your merchandise. This would be your first of multiple boxes if you're a Marshal Level backer, or your entire kit if you're a Deputy or Rules Lawyer backer. IF YOU HAVEN'T EITHER RECEIVED YOUR FIRST SHIPMENT OR HEARD FROM THE SHIPPER WITH A TRACKING NUMBER, PLEASE LET ME KNOW so I can follow-up with the shipping company.

MARSHAL AND JUDGE LEVEL

Building kits are all that are required in order to finish your orders. Inventory is coming in to the shop today via FedEx and the remainder will be in next week. I'm hoping to get your second box of goodies in your hands in time to put it under the tree!

RELEASE

Anything that has been fulfilled will be released. I'm eager to show this game to the world, and I'm getting inquiries daily from people who were not in the Kickstarter. My hope is that I can release the Deputy Level items (including stretch goals) to the US and Europe by next week and hold general release back from Australia and New Zealand for about one more week, or until their stuff has shipped. We have piles of new releases beyond the Kickstarter to get out, so we've got a bit of a log jam at the moment!

CUSTOMER SERVICE

I'll be shipping out some replacement parts today.  Please keep me informed of any issues that arise.

THANK YOU

As always, I'm grateful to all of you for your support of this game and these miniatures!

Adios,

Forrest

Marshal and Judge Shipments, Mop-Up Operation
over 5 years ago – Tue, Nov 27, 2018 at 12:47:48 PM

Howdy fellow cowpunchers,

This week's shipping update:

MARSHAL LEVEL BACKER KITS

These always consist of at least two boxes, since our boxes are a standard size.

Even though we're short on some items for the Abilene Addition, we are shipping your first box starting today.

In most cases (all cases so far), this will include everything BUT the Abilene Addition (Jail, Livery, Barbershop, Boarding House, Large Corral, and Outhouse). We're waiting for more large corrals and a handful of the other buildings in order to finish fulfillment.

Those of you with multiple mats will be receiving a very large and heavy first box, probably via FedEx.

You will get an orange sheet of paper in your first box that lists the items that will be shipped in the second box.

This will bring Marshal's Level backers up to date with all of the actual figures and game accessories, and lacking only the Abilene Addition buildings.

JUDGE LEVEL

The same goes for the Judge's Level backer kits. You will get the first of 2 or 3 boxes, probably in the next week.

I have sculpted two of the special figures and I'm working on the third. I'll be contacting the fourth to go over his plans.

Just like the Marshals, the Judges will have all the figures, rules, accessories, etc., and the Abilene Addition buildings will be sent in the next box. Some of you will also be getting your custom castings in the second box if they have been mastered and cast. If not, the custom casts will be send separately.

DOWN UNDER

Shipments being sent to Australia and New Zealand are being prepared for shipment at this time. The wait won't be much longer for you guys, regardless of the level of your pledge.

MOP-UP OPERATION

There are a handful of Deputy Level kits and some pre-orders that haven't gone out yet. Those are being collected and readied for shipment. Also, we have some order corrections and miscast replacements yet to send out.

REGULAR RELEASES

The main batch of merch, including stretch goal items, will be available to the general public before the new buildings of the Abilene Addition collection. So after we've fulfilled these first boxes to the Marshal and Judge backers and mopped up any remaining preorders, Deputy kits, and shipments to OZ, we'll do a general release.

Once everyone gets their Abilene Addition sets, those buildings will then be released for general distribution.

And of course, the Drifter is exclusive to you guys. His mold will go to the happy hunting grounds!

FINAL NOTES

Whenever a box ships, you will receive an email confirmation with the tracking info.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any help.

More updates as info becomes available!

Adios,

Forrest

Building Manuals
over 5 years ago – Wed, Nov 14, 2018 at 05:45:34 PM

I finished two more building manuals and posted them on the downloads page:

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

BOARDING HOUSE

I have the Livery Stable left to compose and post.

We're below 45 remaining kits to ship, and some of those are actually pre-orders. One day this week we shipped 40 packages!

I'm away for a funeral till Tuesday, and when I return I'll get back to it. My internet access will be spotty while traveling, but I'll do my best to answer questions.

Thanks so much for making this Kickstarter one to remember!

Adios,

Forrest

Building Manuals and Fulfillment Endgame
over 5 years ago – Fri, Nov 09, 2018 at 08:19:11 PM

SHIPPING PROGRESS

Well, we have the building kits we need in order to start sending the Marshal and Judge's kits next week. Almost all of the Deputy kits are shipped, so just about all that's left are the large kits and some of the preorder-only kits.

MANUALS

A few of the large buildings went out as add-ons with the Deputy shipments, but the bulk are about to go out with the Marshal and Judge sets. I'm working on putting together the instruction manuals for them. I recommend waiting for the manuals before attempting assembly, particularly with the boarding house that has a fairly intricate interior floor layout and staircase. The stairs are built in layers with each layer inscribed with a number or letter indicating the order of assembly.

Here are a few shots of partially-assembled buildings that will appear in the manuals:

AND FINALLY . . .

This is the largest project we've ever undertaken and there have been a few bumps along the way. I've made dozens of spin-casting molds this year, and not every one could be free from parting lines or flash, but I'm hoping you'll find most of the figures up to snuff and serviceable as game pieces. We've gone through hundreds of pounds of metal this year and sorted figures till we were going half-blind, but there will be miscasts here and there as some do slip through, and I'm always happy to replace a figure that has an incomplete gun barrel or correct a sorting problem where the wrong figures were provided. Fulfillment has tested our powers of organization and patience mightily, but somehow we've managed to get the right boxes in the hands of the right people so far (knock wood).

We did not achieve perfection, but I hope you'll enjoy having a completed game in your hands. I was pretty naive to think I could fulfill it by June (or cocky), but at least we have a good shot at wrapping it up before the 1yr. mark, and not every Kickstarter can say that.

Please let me know if you need help with anything, as I'm sure there are bound to be some loose ends. I have good records on each order, so if you're feeling lost, I can find you in the system and let you know what the status of your shipment is.

Adios, and thank you all for the patient support you have given Gunfighter's Ball.
