I've been working on a hub to tie together various GB pages in order to create an online community for the game. This is just a starting point, as I will be adding other pages, more downloads, etc. as time goes by. I expect there to be a few hiccups since I'm the only one who has tested it so far, but it's a place to begin. The first draft is very simple, but I'd like to enlist the help of a pro to give it a bit more sophistication. I've kept everything simple and in the center of the screen so it will be mobile-friendly.

Please give it a visit and follow the links to the various pages--the blog, a list of retailers, the facebook page, and the new Boardgame Geek pages that I hope to use as the primary forum and FAQ since it is purpose-built for such things and very participatory in nature. Don't let the name fool you--the term "board game" is used very loosely on this site and wargames are very much included in what they cover.

I strongly encourage you to go to Boardgame Geek and participate. As I indicated, it is user-driven, so with users will come utility. It's a free login.

There is even a place to give a game a rating, if you want to fly the flag for Gunfighter's Ball or submit fair criticisms and have discussions in the Forum--I won't be offended, as I am also a gamer and I know how it is :). What I'd love to see is the site light up with users showing the world that this game is at least on the map.

 In other news:

I've been notified that mats are scheduled to come in on the 21st. I will also be receiving a shipment of resin parts a few days prior to that, so the last week of the month the kits will start going out.

I expected the mats to arrive sooner, but they apparently took extra time clearing customs. I'm very new to this importing stuff, but I have a GW alum as my middleman, and he's an old pro.

Thanks for your considerable patience and, frankly, endurance in waiting this out. We've done all we can do here--in fact, today we swept the floors and will shut down for a week. We'll be back in the shop Monday the 20th and then the real fun will begin!

Round 2; PDF download
almost 6 years ago – Tue, Jul 24, 2018 at 07:35:46 PM

After some tech support from Backerkit, I think I've got the problem solved. You should be getting an email with a new link. Please let me know if this one gives you any trouble.

Apparently I had only sent a passcode, and not the actual file, which is why all you saw before was a button with some gibberish in it!

P.S. Mats are manufactured and being shipped from China. Should be a couple of weeks in transit. At that point, I will be able to start sending kits. Supplies of some other items are coming in in waves, so I'll be able to ship until I run out of items in each wave of supply, then probably have a week or so where I'm out of supply. Not unlike what Patton experienced in WWII, but that's for someone else to do a kickstarter on!

Book Download
almost 6 years ago – Tue, Jul 24, 2018 at 05:21:57 PM

Hi guys,

I created the book PDF download this morning--I'm not sure I did it right, as several people have had trouble downloading it. I'm working on straightening out the problem at the moment.

More soon .  . .

Progress Report

 Folks, we are incredibly close.

The items above, with the exception of the character cards, are all in stock and ready for packing.

In addition to these, the figures are all bagged, sorted into kits, and ready to go out.

We're waiting on the mats from China, the actual printing and cutting of the character cards (due in end of next week), two building kits (27 copies of each kit), and the resin castings of the bar back and front to add to its metal detail parts which are already cast and bagged.

I'm getting very antsy as I'm sure you are, too!

I'm holding off having backerkit charge you for add-ons and pre-orders till I have a delivery date for the mats. I don't want your cards charged with you left hanging.

I'm heading off today to see about having the book PDF down-sampled to computer-screen resolution so I can get your PDFs out to you. Look for those by this weekend. They should be distributed to you through backerkit.com.

That's it for today. Sorry this is taking so long, but it can't possibly be long now!

MAT UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
almost 6 years ago – Tue, Jun 26, 2018 at 09:07:51 PM

For everyone who expressed an interest in the mat upgrade but had already locked down their backerkit survey, I have unlocked your surveys.

If you try to upgrade, but find yourself locked out, give me your name and I'll unlock you.

For those that were able to upgrade, it was because you were not locked down yet, or you were pre-ordering as a completely new backer.

The nice thing about doing it this way as opposed to doing it outside the backerkit system is that it will calculate the shipping for you automatically and there is no chance of falling between the cracks at fulfillment time.

Sorry for the confusion yesterday. I finally understand how this works.

Adios,

Forrest
