Wound Chip Upgrade and New Add-Ons
over 6 years ago – Tue, Dec 05, 2017 at 08:51:32 PM

I'm happy to announce that I was able to negotiate a good price for 39mm, 8-gram clay composite poker chips to replace the plastic "bicycle" style plastic chips (the ones that go "clink") in the accessory packs. This means that if you pledged at Deputy Level or above, your accessory kits will automatically upgrade to clay composite (unless you prefer cheap plastic chips, that is...). Modern "clay" actually has some kind of binding agent in it, so it's durable--it's the standard casino chip.

If you pledged at the Rules Lawyer level, or you just want extras, they are offered in sets for nine characters (54 chips) as an add-on.

Now that the details of the character card construction are finalized, I'm able to post them as add-ons as well. These are tarot-sized 2.75 x 4.75-inch cards, nice and roomy for note-taking, and they are sealed with a wipeable coating so no additional protector sleeves are needed. This deck has 60 character cards, covering the first 60 fighters in the Gunfighter's Ball product range. This card set comes standard in the accessory kit, so if you have gotten one with your pledge level or added-on an accessory kit, you don't add one on separately.

I'm going to be finalizing artwork on additional add-ons over the next week, including furnishings for building interiors. I'm also expecting some additional parts for the buildings in the Abilene Addition so you can see the magnificent interiors they have.

Let's buckle on our holsters and get Mangus in our sights this weekend!

Mangus Unchained
over 6 years ago – Tue, Dec 05, 2017 at 08:50:32 PM

They're falling like dominoes now as we approach the final two-week stretch of the campaign. Mangus is officially in your cache of goodies, as is the Pistoleer Deck, the Bathtub Belligerent, the Chaco Kid, and Rattlesnake Jack.

This Kickstarter is making it possible to create things that would have been very risky otherwise--card decks, full color rulebooks, and these large buildings like the new livery stable. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving this project the boost it needs to get into the saddle. At this rate, you will see many more surprises in the next couple of weeks.

If you haven't seen the video, scroll down the KS page and take a look.

Benny the Bandito Plus a Painted Sample
over 6 years ago – Tue, Dec 05, 2017 at 08:50:18 PM

As we steam toward 18k like an unstoppable locomotive, I'll give you a glimpse of what $19,000 will look like:

For those of you out there who enjoy painting as much as gaming, or those that only paint, here is some inspiration for you. Ace painter James Wappel has taken an intricate Victorian clothing pattern and painted it in miniature on the suit of our bystander figure, Mary. Jaw-dropping!

You'll be seeing more of his fine work as the final two weeks tick down.

Well done folks. As always, my thanks go out to all of you, and I'll have more updates for you soon!

Pistoleer Cards Stretch Goal
over 6 years ago – Mon, Nov 27, 2017 at 01:47:07 PM

I just added a stretch goal for the Pistoleer Deck, a deck of 52 special ability cards, standard poker-sized.

I'm re-arranging the stretch goals a bit. The coffin gunfighter will return at some point, but I feel there are items more critical to raise money for in the KS since they greatly enhance the game.

The goal is set at 16k, which is not far off! I'm really looking forward to using this deck in my own games. For a quick overview of what's in the cards, visit the Gunfighter's Ball blogspot.

Putting the finishing touches on a figure tonight. I'll post a render tomorrow (and perhaps another stretch goal!).

Another Add-On
over 6 years ago – Sun, Nov 26, 2017 at 05:23:01 PM

Horses at the hitching rail serve lots of purposes in a gunfight game. They might provide a quick getaway, they might give you some hasty cover, or the might just trample you in a panic!

I just posted a deal in the add-ons to help you get a batch big enough to provide you with enough animals for a typical street scene.

More stretch-goals are just around the corner. Our previous characters need some companions for sure. I also have a card deck that will add a significant dimension to the game. I may have more about that posted later tonight.

The video is hard--I have to hand it to those YouTubers who have the gift of gab! I'm still a little bit scared of my own voice, so this will take a little time, but I'll get it together. In the mean time, please send all your questions and comments to me so I can satisfy your curiosity.

Adios,

Forrest
